Thuren 2014 Ram 2500 rear coils offer a softer ride than stock, with increased suspension travel and performance both on and off road. Thuren also offers several heights, so you can dial in the stance of your truck.

Single-Rate Coils info: Thuren Single-Rate rear coils are much softer than the OEM rear coils, providing a ride more like a 1/2 ton truck. If you're rarely loading the truck bed, or only rarely towing moderate weight for short distances, the rear end will sag a few inches with Thuren standard Single-Rate coils, and air-bags are not really needed. If loading very heavy, plan on Airbags or a similar load support system added.

Dual-Rate Coils info: Thuren Dual-Rate coils were originally conceived for their rear 2014-2024 Ram 2500/PW Predator Long-Travel suspension system, as their Single-Rate coils were just too short to allow full travel. The dual rate serves to offer the necessary travel with the Predator system, but also offers more capacity than the normal Thuren linear rate coils.

They do not ride quite as smoothly down the highway as Thuren single rate coils, but they do ride quite a bit better than the OEM rear coils, while also being able to provide about 15" of suspension travel. With weight added to the bed these coils will sag a little more than the stock coils. Expect about 3/4" more sag with 800lbs in the bed, compared to the stock OEM coils. With an unloaded Quad-Cab truck expect about 1/2" lift over stock height, and with the heavier Mega-Cab, the ride height will be about the same as stock. If you have a much lighter Standard-Cab truck,(though not tested yet) you may end up with 1.5" lift over stock height.

Since ALL Thuren rear coils are softer than stock, if you load or tow heavy, you'll need to go with these Full travel airbags or the Thuren LCS system to supplement capacity.

Height & Weight notes: Thuren coils being softer than OEM coils, weight added to the rear of the truck will exaggerate the lowering effect. So, if you have 500lbs added to the bed with your stock coils, that 1/2" of sag will be about 1" of sag with Thuren Single-Rate coils. Mega Cab and Single Cab trucks are not as common as the Quad Cab we designed these coils around, so keep in mid the Mega Cab is about 700lbs heavier than the Quad Cab, and the Single Cab is about 700lbs lighter, so subtract/add about 1/2" to 1" of height if you have one of those trucks. Final lift heights are not guaranteed.

THUREN REAR COIL KIT RAM 2500

I installed the Thuren FOX IFP Leveling kit +2" for the diesel with the Thuren Active Rate Sway Bar about 6 months ago and was very happy with the way it improved the ride. As I drove it more I could feel how stiff the rear was compared to the the front so I did 1/2" lowering kit for the rear. I had about 1" rear high stance so didn't want to add the +1 kit. It makes a world of difference traveling down the highway now. The ride is much improved. It's still no Caddy, but very good for a 3/4 ton truck. I would recommend doing both at the same time, my mistake was the rear shocks that I got with the front level now don't work with the new rear springs, so I have an almost new pair of FOX shocks that I cannot use and had to buy the correct shocks for it. I've only had it on for about 400 miles and when I measured it, I was still at 1" high in the rear so once they settle in I expect to see the rear about a 1/2" higher in the rear.

Mid-Rate rear coils

Amazing improvement in ride quality. As expected the truck sagged a lttle more when attaching travel trailer (7200 lbs), but attached weight dist., hitch and back to normal. Truck truly feels more like half-ton when traveling over such things as railroad tracks or expansion gaps. Do yourself a favor and buy the THUREN rear trackbar kit as well!

Rides like a1500 now

Rides as expected, I’m adding airlift 5000 to handle any trailer loads. Lowered rear 1 full inch ( at axel center to wheel well makes it easier to access when not trailering. I also have thuren 2” leveling diesel coils
