Volume: 3.5 qts. over stock Dimensions: are in this pdf file. This pan is 2 ¼ inches deeper on the outside and 1 ½ inches deeper on the inside than a stock Titan pan at its deepest point. Always check your vehicle to verify transmission and clearance before ordering. Number of Bolts: 22 This PML transmission oil pan for the Nissan RE5R05A fits Titan, Armada and Navara. This pan features extra capacity and fins for cooling, thick wall construction, and a drain plug to facilitate oil changes. Many Nissan and Infiniti trucks, cars, and SUVs use the RE5R05A transmission and PML makes three pans to accommodate various clearance requirements. 350Z, Infiniti G35 and QX56 need our low profile pan. See the PML low profile Nissan pan web page.PML designed the low profile pan for vehicles that do not have ground clearance for a deep pan. This includes some trucks like Titans with skid plates or Navaras. Frontier, Xterra, and Pathfinder owners have reported cross members running under two corners of the stock pan and need PML part number 11101. NV Owners: this pan may work for you. Nissan NV cargo and passenger vans, 2011 to 2014, are based on the Titan truck and have the RE5RO5A transmission. Let us know if you have an NV and are interested in a deeper transmission pan. Call us at 800-335-4345 or email us atyourcovers@pmli.com. Read on the Titan Talk forum about lower transmission fluid temperatures after installing a PML pan in the Titan performance modifications thread. Filter and GasketThe filter on the RE5R05A is a screen, and it bolts on to the valve body of the transmission so no filter supports or extensions are needed. This transmission pan works with stock gaskets. These are usually about $20 to $25 from your local Nissan dealer. The Nissan part number 3139790X0A (2007 and newer) or 3139790X00 (2003 to 2007) for Titan trucks. Temperature SensorThis pan has a boss that can be machined and tapped for a temperature sending unit. The standard Titan transmission temperature gauge usually included with the tow package works independent of the transmission pan so you do not need the boss machined. The boss provided in this pan can be machined for use with aftermarket sensors and gages. Internal BafflesPML designed this tranny pan with internal baffles. The baffles help direct oil flow to keep oil at the filter inlet, prevent sloshing, and aid heat transfer from oil to pan. | ||

Volume:1.5 to 2 qts. over stock Dimensions: are in this pdf file. Always check your vehicle to verify transmission and clearance as PML does have a restocking fee. Number of Bolts: 22 This heavy duty transmission oil pan fits the Nissan RE5R05A transmission and should clear the frame cross members on Frontier, Pathfinder, Equator and similar vehicles. This deep sump transmission pan features:
PML designed this pan for 2005 and newer Nissan Frontier trucks and Pathfinder. It should also fit Xterra, Equator, and similar vehicles. Some 2004 Pathfinders also have the RE5RO5A transmission. Applications:
Note to Xterra Owners: If you have an Xterra, we think this pan will fit but we have not had any installations. Please call us if you have an Xterra and wish to use this transmission pan. We have two other pans for the Nissan RE5R05A transmission, a deep pan that is 3.5 quarts over stock and a low profile pan for 350Z and Infiniti vehicles and trucks needing clearance. Image provides approximate dimensions of stock pan and PML pan. This pan is about four inches deep, which, as far as we know, is too deep to work with skid plates. The depth provides the extra capacity. We would like to hear from folks that have skid plates and are also interested in this pan or similar. Cody, we already have your information. |

Temperature Sensor InformationThe pan has a location on the passenger's side that can be drilled and tapped for a temperature sending unit. If you would like PML to machine the pan for an aftermarket temperature sensor, the machining charge is $40 and this option must be ordered over the phone. The boss can accommodate 1/8 to 1/2 NPT (please let us know the size when you call to order). Installations2007 Frontier Long Bed with PML Transmission PanET Wheels in San Leandro California installed this PML transmission pan on a 2007 Frontier 4.0 V6 Long Bed 4 door with the 5 speed Nissan RE5RO5A transmission. Our thanks to ET Wheels for installing a PML pan. The installation was a straight forward bolt on replacement although they found the right rear corner bolt hard to access. With the PML pan, the added 1 ¾ to 2 quarts more fluid. Images above, left to right: 2007 Frontier stock pan, PML pan installed looking from rear to front, view from the passenger's side. 2007 Frontier with PML Transmission PanMichael in Florida installed this PML transmission pan on a 2007 Frontier 4.0 V6 with the 5 speed Nissan RE5RO5A transmission. He was kind enough to document the installation including the tools he needed. See this PDF file on Installation of PML Transmission Pan on Nissan Frontier. Our thanks to Michael for his pictures and documentation.
PML Transmission Pan on a 2005 PathfinderInstallation of a PML pan on a 2005 Pathfinder. Paul decided he wanted a temperature sending unit. He drilled and tapped the boss on the passenger's side of the pan himself. In addition to pictures Paul gave us these comments:
Our thanks to Paul for the pictures and feedback. Images above, left to right: 2005 Pathfinder, stock pan on the Pathfinder, transmission case and filter (pan removed). PML pan shown installed on 2005 Pathfinder in images above. Views from left to right are: front view, passenger's side view with Paul's temperature sending unit fitting, driver's side view with PML drain plug installed 2011 Suzuki Equator with PML Transmission PanThis PML pan was installed on a 2011 Suzuki Equator. The pan fit well except for one bolt hole on the rear passenger side corner. The pan hole is about ½ inch to the front and the flanges did not completely line up. Since this pan has plenty of bolts, leaving this bolt off is no problem and the pan sealed great (no leaks at all). On the whole, the pan fit great, provided plenty of clearance, and added 1.6 quarts of extra capacity.
