I upgraded from the Backcountry shocks to these and couldn’t be happier. The Backcountry shocks were great overall, but the rebound felt a little loose. Some people may actually prefer that since it gives the truck more of a “floaty” ride. For me though, the Pintops deliver exactly the ride I was looking for.
These shocks are very comfortable, and when they’re cycling they feel controlled rather than stiff. The damping is firm in a good way—when the suspension compresses you don’t get the harsh end-of-travel feeling like you do with stock shocks. Instead, the compression is very controlled with minimal rebound, or at least very little noticeable rebound.
If you’re on the fence about these, don’t hesitate—they’re awesome shocks.
