This PML differential cover fits the American Axle Manufacturing (AAM) rear axle with 11.5 inch ring gear.

PML designed this cover for these Dodge trucks:

2003 to 2013 Ram 2500 with the high output diesel, 5.9 diesel or 6.7 diesel
2006 to 2013 Ram 2500 Mega Cab with the 5.7 Hemi V8
2006 to 2013 Ram 2500 Mega Cab with the 5.9 diesel or 6.7 diesel
2003 to 2013 Ram 3500 with V10, 5.7 Hemi or a diesel engine
2014 to 2015 Ram 2500 and 3500: we don't yet know if this cover will work because of the sway and pan hard bars and the new air ride suspension option

Silverado or Sierra 2500HD 8.1 or diesel, 3500 or 3500HD with this AAM 11.5 rear: please see PML part number 9511. The 9511 has a different fin style and one quart over stock increased capacity. If you choose to use this cover, part number 10361, you have to bend the brake bracket located at 12 o'clock.

Ram 2500 with the AAM 10.5 inch ring gear axle: The American Axle 10.5 stock cover is flat at the bottom while the 11.5 comes to a point. The 10.5 inch is usually found on 2500 trucks with the V10 engine, standard output diesel engine, or the 5.7 Hemi in 2500 trucks without the Mega Cab. See ourAAM 10.5-inch cover. You might have an identification sticker in your glove box or on your driver's door that states which differential you have.

Always check your truck to verify your differential and clearance.

Drain, Oil Fill, and Level Check

This differential cover has oil fill, level check, and drain holes to make it easy to follow the 15K oil change interval that Dodge specifies for the AAM axles used in 2003 and newer Ram 2500 & 3500 trucks.

Optional Machining for Temperature Sending Unit

This cover also has an undrilled boss for a temperature sensor. Please call to order if you would like the boss drilled and tapped. There is a $40 charge.

Differential Cover on 2014 and 2015 Trucks With Sway and Pan Hard Bars

2014 and 2015 Ram 2500HD and 3500HD trucks have pan hard and sway bars behind the rear differential cover. For the standard suspension, it looks like there should be enough room for a PML cover. We are waiting to hear back from customers who are testing the clearance. We have heard the air ride suspension has much less clearance. We have had this covers successfully installed on a 2014 Ram 2500 with a Helwig sway bar.

The PML cover is about 4 inches deep. This is 1 inch deeper than stock from a 2003 truck.

Front Cover for 4WD Trucks

PML also makes a cover for the front differential on Dodge Ram trucks. Click for information onPML's AAM 9.25" differential cover. The front cover has a low profile for clearance. Installations

2012 Ram 2500 With PML Differential Cover

Andrew Lowe installed PML front and rear differential covers and a PML transmission pan on his truck, a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 4WD. He powder coated the covers sky white by Du Pont. He filled the differentials with Royal Purple fluid. Look for this truck and the PML covers in a feature in 8 Lugmagazine. Our thanks to Andrew Lowe for selecting PML covers.

The front differential is an American Axle 9 ¼ inch ring gear, PML cover part number 11118, the rear is an American Axle 11½ inch ring gear, PML cover part number 10361, and the transmission is a 68RFE, PML pan part number 11039.
