The Apex Steering drag link is a heavy duty replacement for the issue plagued factory Ram drag link found on 2014-current trucks. This is also the go to fix for the welded Mopar recall drag links found on 2014-2018 Ram trucks.

This is a direct replacement extreme duty Drag Link assembly to replace your underperforming OE steering. Oversized drag link ends, connected by a massive DOM tube, eliminates death wobble and tightens up steering under the most extreme conditions. Weak adjusting sleeve is replaced via tie rod ends threading directly into the connecting rods, secured by jam nuts and our proprietary ninja lock-washers.

This will change the way your vehicle drives forever!

Please note this is currently not compatible with high mount or dual opposing Carli stabilizer systems.

WHAT IT FITS:

Dodge Ram 2500 (2014-2022) 4WD

Dodge Ram 3500 (2013-2022) 4WD

TECH SPECS:

HOUSING
SAE 1045 Solid Steel Forged Housing: This is unequivocally the best carbon alloy steel for this application.
CNC Machined Housing: Make our parts and bearings dimensionally perfect, eliminating any die wear issues.

BALL STUDS
SAE 4140 hot forged Chromoly Ball Studs: For the strongest possible metallurgy.
Induction Heat Treated Ball Studs: Provides a very precise heat treatment to the exact depth and location we want it.
Rolled Threads: Are made by pressing the shape of the threads into the ball stud instead of cutting. This strengthens the threads instead of weakening them and allows for easy movement of hardware. This ain't no Ikea furniture!
Step Threads: allows for very easy movement of hardware on install and superior holding when torqued (installer choice).

BEARING DESIGN
Rugged Metal to Metal Bearing

BOOTS
CR Rubber Boots: The most durable material for undercar applications. Resistant to deterioration from road level ozone, oil/gas/engine fluids and extreme heat or cold
Accordion Boot: Ideal for high-articulation components, more flexibility means longer life.

FINISH
E-Coat Finish: Extremely durable. Double coated. Threads coated as well. Rugged look.

HARDWARE
Grade 8 - Class 10.9 Hardware:Superior tensile strength.
Tension Nut: Very strong hold for most applications.

ADJUSTING RODS
E-Coat Finish: Durable e-coat treatment
1.75" DOM SAE 1020 Tube: Heavy walled steel tubing provides the tightest most robust steering on the market.

LUBRICATION
Pre threaded Zerk Housing: If you have ever installed a MOOG Ball Joint without a pre-threaded zerk fitting you will understand what a simple but great feature this is. Another installer fav.
Greaseable: Because it should be.
Gull Winged Grease Grooves: Allows for improved lubrication disbursement around the ball stud.

SPECIAL FEATURES
Ninja Washers (tm): An APEX exclusive is our Ninja Washer which is a unique method of securing the lock nut to the tube, erasing the need for lightly built adjusting tubes with ugly pinch clamps. And who doesn't want a ninja on their front end.
Minimum Engagement Mark on Threads: If this mark in the thread of the drag link is showing it means you are beyond the safe engagement of threads into the adjusting sleeve. You may be lifted too high and need to switch to a flip kit or you may need to equal out the adjusting sleeve between the two ends.

Absolute unit!!

My main reason for choosing the Apex bar was due to fitment conflict with my Carli ATB with other brands. Now looking at the other brands it should've been the clear choice anyway.

Compared to other brands, this one adjusts in such a way it causes no clearance issues. It's actually just an oversized version of the way the factory bar adjusts (ingenious). The size of this thing is great! It's about, if not, the same size as the factory tie rod bar. Came with an Apex sticker and instructions.

*SUGGESTION THAT THE INSTRUCTIONS MISS*
The instructions completely miss the part about putting the ninja washers on but touch on how to set them at the end AFTER the bar is assembled. Obviously you're wondering where it said to install them. Anyway, due to the way they say to say the washers (flat side to bar, tabs to lock nut) install the washers with the Apex logo facing outwards. When you bend the flat sections of the washer onto the bar the Apex logo will show. If not you'll just cover them up.

10/10 recommend!
