The Intermediate Steering Shaft on 2003-2018 Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500/4500 models relies on a rubber bushing that wears out, causing wandering steering and slop. Installing these bushings is a simple first step before considering other upgrades. These bushings are made from a hard polymer material, with the goal of reducing any noise, vibration or resonance that can be transmitted through the steering shaft when using a metal bushing.
