Carli's ball joints start out as a chunk of specialty chosen material which is machined to Carli's unique design and then heat treated to a specified rockwell (hardness). From there the ball joints head to an aero-space lube company where a proprietary dry-lube coating is applied to their specified thickness. Carli tops them off with an accessible zerk fitting for easy servicing, plus they even include a tube of high quality synthetic grease with each ball joint set.

These ball joints fit 2003-2013 Ram 2500 and 2003-2012 Ram 3500. If you have a 2013+ 3500, you need these ball joints as Ram altered the steering and axle design.

After doing a ton of open source research the Carli Ball Joint were consistently in the top two of all the reviews. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. The ball joint kit contains everything you need except sockets. The instructions were written for the person who never worked on a truck before and were really detailed. (Even if you're a professional, read the instructs there's a couple of key points specific to Carli.) Though I have replaced the bearings and half shafts before this was the first attempt at replace the ball joints for my Dodge Ram. The hardest part was removing the hubs-bearings, but other than that it was a pretty straight forward job which saved me $$$$'s. The ball joints look and feel American frickin' built! One key thing I need to share is get the specific model of ball joint press recommended as I had to make a couple of press pieces out of pipe for the kit I used from O'Reilly's. Also, read the instruction for the installation of the upper ball joint. You'll need a torque wrench which goes to 160 ft pds. too. In the end, damn glad I made the purchase. Time will tell though... I plan on keeping my 2011 Ram for several years. I previously had to replace the factory ball joints and new that in order to make sure the truck will last the Carli product was the best possible choice
