This pitman arm is a direct factory replacement for 1994-1999 Ram 2500/3500 trucks. It is required if you are dropping down to stock or leveled height from a 4" or taller lift that uses a drop pitman arm, and is also required if you want to run Synergy T style steering on the rare second gen trucks that came with factory T linkage, as Synergy designed their steering geometry around the stock Y style arm so people wouldn't have to change it. These do not work on 2000-2002 trucks as they use a different diameter rod end at the pitman arm side of the drag link.
