This pitman arm is a direct factory replacement for 1994-2002 Ram 2500/3500 trucks. It is required if you are dropping down to stock or leveled height from a 4" or taller lift that uses a drop pitman arm, and is also required if you want to run Synergy T style steering on the rare second gen trucks that came with factory T linkage, as Synergy designed their steering geometry around the stock Y style arm so people wouldn't have to change it.
We also recommend this pitman arm to customers looking to upgrade their steering box and don't feel like fighting with removing the frozen on stock pitman arm.
