Carli's new 2003-2013 Dodge Ram 2500/2003-2012 3500 4x4 adjustable track bar is a must for any Dodge 2500/3500 4x4 suffering from wandering steering or with an aftermarket lift. The track bar will center the axle side to side and ensure proper suspension geometry. The track bar will also give a tighter feel to the front end by eliminating the O.E.M rubber bushings. Included with each track bar are all required spacers, crush sleeves, and shims to fit each specific vehicle's stock hardware. On one end is a custom F.K. Heim Joint that offers articulation and rigidity with an improved service life over other styles of bushing. On the opposite end is an heavy duty captured uniball bearing for maximum strength and life-span. A laser-cut gusset surrounds the uniball welded cup to ensure that this track bar will be the last you ever buy.

Description
A track bar isn’t a product that weighs heavy on most when considering a suspension lift. Quite the contrary, it is often overlooked as a simple geometry correction that will be addressed by whatever lift-kit is purchased. Often, with leveling kits, it’s not addressed at all. Enter, the Carli Suspension 2017 Super Duty Track bar. This game-changing track bar takes center stage offering 1.5″ OD x 3/8″ (wall thickness) DOM construction allowing direct threading (no weld-in bung) of a massive FK Bearing heim joint paired with the star of the show, Carli’s new Encapsulated Uniball in a fully welded and strap-gusseted housing.
NOTE: There was some variance on length needed among 17+ Super Duties; this CS-FPRB-17 was shortened 1/4″ overall to accommodate the customers needing a shorter track bar vs. the originally released CS-FATB-17. The Gold Jammit Nut indicates the changeover from the FPRB to the slightly shorter FATB.
The Carli Track Bar’s dual FK Bearing pivots allow the bar to cycle free from the bind of the factory double-vulcanized bushings while offering vibration damping to minimize road noise transmission and maximize service life. The Encapsulated FK Uniball – CUB Joint – was tested to -110°F and took it in stride with no cracking or deformation, even loss of damping during subjection to the extreme cold. The Heim and Encapsulated Uniball are both replaceable allowing users to rebuild rather than replace their bars.
On the other end, a massive 1-1/4″ FK Bearing heat treated Chromoly Heim Joint encapsulated in a sealed boot and secure it to the bar with our proprietary Jammit nut. What’s wrong with a standard jam-nut – you ask? Not a damn thing but, if we can improve it, why not do so? We won’t give too many details as the design, metallurgy and production took enough time that we want to protect the details but the nut offers 100% more clamping surface area than a standard jam nut.
Designed and built to maximize travel and ensure factory compatibility, this track bar best suits 2.5″ and 4.5″ lift systems with OEM steering geometry (no track bar or pitman arm drops). In lieu of travel-limiting drop brackets, the Carli Track Bar includes different axle-spacer configurations engineered to alter the lower pivot to better match the factory steering arc respective to each lift height. Laymen’s terms, the bar includes all components necessary to configure specifically to both 2.5″ and 4.5″ steering geometry to minimize steering wheel feedback.
We consider the Track Bar to be the single most important – ironically, also the most overlooked – component in the front end. It’s highly leveraged as both a steering and suspension component and it’s strength, geometry and vibration damping properties directly translate into perceived quality of the entire suspension. A worn or neglected factory track bar results in loose or delayed steering input, improper axle alignment, bump steer, death wobble or excessive road noise through the steering leading to increased driver fatigue and little confidence in the vehicle’s handling capabilities, exacerbated in lifted or leveled vehicles. The Carli Track Bar is excessively durable, vibration damping, geometry correcting, fully serviceable and adjustable to fit both lift heights we offer.
Please Note: This bar is not compatible with drop-pitman arms or aftermarket track bar drop brackets.
This track bar replaces the factory unit with a significantly stiffer bar to reduce steering wander, and end death wobble from worn track bar joints. Made here in the USA, this is the highest quality track bar available for 05-16 Ford trucks!
Carli designed their Adjustable Track Bar with a machined tapered rod end with a custom angle offset to increase ball joint life. This design puts less stress on the ball joint at full droop and keeps the ball joint pin vertical at ride height, prolonging the life of wear items. A big 7/8″ heim joint is used on the frame side and it comes with custom machined misalignment spacers. Constructed out of heavy wall mild-steel tube.

Being fine-tuned over the last 5 years, Thuren Fabrication's track bar makes a huge difference in steering and suspension feel. Add a lift, bigger tires, or some performance suspension components, and it becomes one of the best handling improvements you can make. Feedback through the wheel becomes almost nonexistent, and overall suspension and steering performance and safety is improved.
Each bend is precisely placed and designed to reduce flex, which is one of the biggest factors contributing to bad performance from other units. Thuren uses DOM tubing for its resilient qualities(unlike Chromoly), being that some flex IS going to happen, with such a heavy vehicle weight. Contrary to what you may think, any defection in the trackbar bushings reduces ride quality and safety, along with ADDING to road feedback.
Being the first track bar to market for the 3rd gen Rams, specifically designed to combat Death Wobble and improve handling and safety, you know you will get the best possible product. While Death Wobble can be a tough situation to combat, as the trackbar alone is not the only source, it is usually the first place to start.
2003-2007.5 trucks will use a 14mm bolts, while 2008-2013 trucks will use a 16mm bolt.

BE SURE TO READ THE IMPORTANT UPGRADE NOTES BELOW IF YOU HAVE A 2005-2008 MODEL YEAR TRUCK!!!
2005 to approximately 2007.5 trucks used 14mm bolts(18mm socket head) on both ends. Around the middle of 2007 some trucks were coming with a 14mm bolt on one side, and a 16mm(21mm head) bolt on the other. If you have a 2007-2008 truck and you are unsure if you have mismatched hardware, you should purchase the above option with hardware(we send OEM nuts and bolts from the Ram dealer with this option) and plan to possibly drill out the mounting flange(s) to a 5/8"(16mm) hole. If you have a 2003-2007 truck, this is a good option also which will let you upgrade to the better hardware by drilling out the mounting flanges.

Our trackbar is designed to be VERY rigid, and often people will think that having a rigid track bar will give steering vibration and rattle. Regarding the track bar, this not true, being that the trackbar is the only steering support. If the support(trackbar) deflects, the truck will be allowed to basically steer itself as you encounter bumps/ruts/holes/etc. A rigid trackbar is the only way to be sure that inputs you make to the steering wheel, will actually get TO the wheels.
