Carli's focus in building this control arm kit was to have the best product on the market. Carli's control arms are 1/2" longer than O.E.M and are built out of extremely stout box tubing. The box tubing's advantages over round tubing include a reduced control arm width while allowing the tube to be offset inboard for added tire clearance. Expertly welded to each square tube is a spherical joint that is fully serviceable and rebuildable. Having these spherical joints on each end eliminates the kinetic chatter caused by rubber bushing style set ups, in return creating a smoother ride. These control arms are finished off with a Satin Black powder coat to ensure long term protection from corrosion.

We offer the option to add hardware to these control arms. The two lower cam bolts are often frozen on the truck, meaning they have to be cut off to remove the arms. If you think yours are frozen, you’ll want to replace them. The upper bolt on the passenger side requires the removal of the exhaust down pipe, so we also highly recommend adding that bolt from the options as it makes the installation a whole lot faster if you can cut the stock bolt off and then insert the new one from the outside.

Solid, Noticable change in driving

Tore out my old worn OEM arms when the passenger side bolt was frozen (found during alignment). Had to cut it out. Truck feels better but I am still dialing in the tuning right now. Bigger difference for me than swapping the sway bar for a carli sway bar. Really curious how this thing would have felt before I swapped my steering box.

Recommend you buy a carbide tipped sawzall blade if you plan on cutting out the old arms. 30bucks well spent. Also, dodge brackets sort of pinch the two mating surfaces on these arms, buy a spreading wrench to help you get them inside the bracket as the OEM is slightly thinner in profile and the fitment for the lower arms where the carrier bolt goes in is TIGHT.

I didn't end up taking my exhaust out for the passenger side install, but it was tough to get that upper bolt out and new one in and torqued to spec. Luckily my bolt was installed reverse so I just had to hold a needle nose vice on the nut and spin the bolt out/in.

I think my truck had these previously replaced with OEM parts for a few reasons, namely the upper bolt being installed reverse. Use a ton of anti seize in your install. The bolts I removed were covered in it and they were easy to break loose, the one that was frozen was bone dry.

Game changer

I bought a truck that had an Icon 3 in lift. I couldn’t go down a dirt road without rattling my fillings loose. These are so much nicer. I bought with the control arms and it’s amazing. The front end feels like a whole new truck. With the old control arms the front end just felt clunky and now it’s tight and feels like new.

Shout have done it sooner

Besides getting the stock ones off the install was very easy. Shocked at the ride difference with just the 1/2 inch. Joints are much better than stock and have fluid movement

I started with the Backcountry kit and am piecing it together as money permits which allows me to see the benefits of each part. Even though my factory control arms/bushings were in good shape, these control arms noticeably made the front end more solid, increasing the ride height a little and even improved my steering.
